This past Friday me and two other girls from my church went down to toronto yet again to preach the good news and tell others about Jesus Christ. We're fairly new at this but we are determined to continue the Lord's work. That day one person chose to give his life to the Lord and the day was counted as a success!! Praise the Lord!
I've been seriously thinking about how I can grow and become mature in my faith in Jesus Christ. I read in James that through trials and perseverance a person becomes complete in his/her faith lacking nothing. He also said to be joyful when we as christians face trials because it only allows us to grow that much more in our faith. On that note, I'm excited to face some trials in my life. Although these trials do not come from God, God has always been able to turn a bad situation into a good one. So I turn to the Satan and I say bring it!!! For Jesus Christ who lives within me has already overcome this world and greater is he who is within me than he who is within the world. So I count myself ready.
On another note. IMANI, the Black student organization at UofT will be starting a sleeping bag drive at the beginning of November. All sleeping bags collected will be distributed to the homeless in the city of Toronto. A sleeping bag will provide a warm home for them until they can receive further help. Along with distributing these sleeping bags, we will also be sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ accompanied with food to those that we help. If you would like to help us in this mission, please contact me via email letting me know how you would like to help. We appreciate all sleeping bag donations of course but also canned food donations, bible donations as well as money contributions. Thank you!
