The meaning of my name

Click here to leave your comments [0 comments so far]
Who would have thought that the name given to you is so important? Two separate times in this past weekend, two members of two different churches spoke to me about the importance of a person's name so, naturally, I wanted to know the meaning of my name!
TO GOOGLE ^_^

Now since my government name is a combination of my mom and dad's name, it could not be found in the name database because it is somewhat of an original. chea! However, if I put together the meaning of my mom's name and my dad's name... I may get somewhere. So here goes nothing.
Mom's name - (Hazel Tree - Light brown)
+
Dad's name (Little dark one)
=
 My name (???)

hmmmm. . . ooooh - kay. .
Well, there is another name that I go by and that's Kizzy. So after searching Kizzy, this is what I found.

*Drumroll please*
.

.

.
Origin and Meaning of the Name Kizzy

Gender: Girl
Origin: Hebrew
Meaning: Cinnamon - like bark
Form of: Keziah

Funny how Cinnamon is a cool middle to [Light brown - hazel tree && Little dark one]

I remember reading this is the book of Job.

JOB: 12 The LORD blessed the latter part of Job's life more than the first. He had fourteen thousand sheep, six thousand camels, a thousand yoke of oxen and a thousand donkeys. 13 And he also had seven sons and three daughters. 14 The first daughter he named Jemimah, the second Keziah and the third Keren-Happuch. 15 Nowhere in all the land were there found women as beautiful as Job's daughters, and their father granted them an inheritance along with their brothers.
CHEA!

Kicking it with Deeny is always a treat. We galavanted around Toronto doing a bunch of things the KiDINES do when we're together. Here are just a couple stops we made.

The Man in Silver is dancing with the little girl in front of the Eaton Centre in Toronto.

We stopped off at RichTree for some food. Which was a bit bland till we added some tobasco sauce.

After our bellies were full, we hopped on the ferry and head off to Centre Island.

 Took some tourist pics.
Jesus is everywhere :)

We stopped off at Dundas Square on our way back home.
.
.
Then we changed into our warm sweaters and came back out again. =) hahaa

The Lord answers His children's prayers. So simply ask, and you will receive. But when you ask, believe that you have already received and Thank the Lord immediately. Your request will surely be fulfilled.

Just try it!

How can the Lord fulfill his will

. . .His perfect will in our life If we do not put our complete trust in Him and His word? For he is the Ultimate creator, Ultimate power, Almighty Being who is in control of all things. And until we give Him complete control of our life, His perfect will cannot be fulfilled.

I feel as if I have not been trusting in the Lord completely and I need your prayers. I need to get rid of this fear that torments me. For the Lord has said, that He has not given us the spirit of fear, but of Power, Love and a Sound Mind.

Wandering the streets of Toronto

Today was very interesting. For the very first time I decided to go out into the streets of the city of Toronto and talk to random people about Jesus Christ. I tried not to be too "preachy" so I basically just shared my testimony and heard their feedback as well as answered any questions they had about Jesus Christ. Sad to say, there are MANY lost and wandering individuals in the world right now. My heart goes out to all those that choose not to follow the word that the Lord has given us. Blessed be the name of Jesus Christ for He has said that once His word has gone out of him it will not return unto him void. So I pray that all the people whom I have spoken to today truely experience God's grace and forgiveness in the near future. They have strayed far from the truth.

I pray that the Lord gives me more wisdom to be able to answer the more difficult questions and situations that educated skeptics pose. It was definitely an eye opener that I need to read up more on the Gospel so that I would be properly armed against the words of the enemy next time.

All in all, today was fan-tas-tic. I really Love spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ and If the Lord permits, there will be many more days like this to follow.

Praise the name of the most High God!

I feel high . . . =)

DEAR FATHER,

I'VE MADE UP MY MIND,
THERE'S NO TURNING BACK.
THE PAST IS BEHIND ME,
THERE IS NO LOOKING BACK.
I'M LOOKING FORWARD
NOT BEHIND,
I'VE MADE A DECISION TO GIVE YOU MY LIFE.

AMEN

I'm still shaking

This prayer, through the Lord's grace and power, allowed me to conquer the spirit of fear. I'm still shaking. I could have barely contained the power of God that was being poured out on me. And I know for a fact that that power I felt in me was only a fraction of the power of my God. Hallelujah.

Say and believe this prayer whenever you are experiencing fear and you wish to increase your faith in God.

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

Forever 21 is religious?!

Who would have thought that the chic and modern clothing store, Forever 21 would have anything to do with Christian beliefs?!

I only recently found out that the owners of the Forever 21 are Don Chang and his wife Jin who just so happen to be devout Christians.

In their attempt to discreetly share the gospel of Christ, they have written John 3:16 on the bottom of all forever 21 bags.

Awesome? or Hypocritical?

Some say that this sharing of the gospel is hypocritical because the style of clothing featured in the store is sometimes contrary to acceptable Christian wear.

However, I say its awesome. No harm can come out of sharing the good news of the Word of God. The way it is written on the bags is very discreet so that when people DO discover that it's there, curiousity enables them to maybe google the bible verse and learn the very foundation of the Christian faith.

If you are not familiar with this verse, it is as follows:

[For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.]

Praise the Lord!

Fear is not of God.

I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from my fears.
The eyes of the LORD are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry.

Stranded in the Airport parking lot

Thank the Lord.

Today my father and I were now about to drive out of the Canadian airport parking lot and as I tried to start the engine, I realized nothing happened. I had left the inside light of my car on and the battery was now completely dead. My dad decided to go and find help so I decided to wait by the car and hopefully get someone to stop and help me.

My dad left & I popp'd the hood, leaned on my car and positioned my self so that cars passing by would know that I needed help.  A couple cars passed and nothing. . some even passed more than once since it was a parking lot and they were looking for free parking space... still nothing. . . then I prayed. I asked the Lord to send help. Less than 5 mins after I prayed, a car stopped and the driver asked if I needed any help. Turned out that the driver and his family in the car were Trinidadians :) I told him that my battery was dead and he "just so happened" to have a jumper cable.

At the same time my father was now coming back to the car after finding no help and saw the mister helping me. We both thanked him and his family for stopping to help and 2 mins later, we we're able to hop in our ride and go home. :)

Thank the Lord!
