We cannot begin to fathom the ways of God.
My mom and I were reading the 25th chapter of Leviticus and as we were reading about the year of jubilee and other interesting stuff, my mom received an awesome revelation of how God provides for His children.
Ever since winter began, my mom has been saving money and waiting for God's financial provision to buy the family winter coats. She was afraid if the weather got too cold, too quickly, she may not be able to wait till Black Friday (a day of sales in the USA) to drive across the border. However, just a couple days ago, she stopped and pondered about the amazing weather we've been having. Admittedly it has been cold... but considering that it is late November and we're still above 0 degrees Celsius during the day... this weather has truly been a blessing! My mom noticed that she has been wearing regular clothes to work, without the need of a winter coat and she asked herself, "Would God really prevent the cold weather from coming in, just for me, just to give me time to purchase my winter clothes?"
Her revelation was this.
She expected God to provide for her needs by means of money. However, God actually provided for her needs by delaying the frosty weather so that now she has enough time to make it to the Black Friday sale in the US and save tons of money on coats for the family.
God has been providing for her all this time and not once did she say, "Thanks." (Until now at least)
If we as Christians are not sensitive to the Holy Spirit, we may be complaining about God not providing, or "waiting" for the Lord to provide for us when He already has.
